PLAY DAY COORDINATORS (2024)

 

Responsibilities:

Track the signups on SignUpGenius.

Prepare pairings for the day or draw cards, whichever is applicable for that day's play.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

 

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update QCTC Website, Reserve My Court and SignUpGenius.

These programs are used for player event notifications, court assignment and league signups.

MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting any small repairs/maintenance necessary for the courts and equipment. Work with HOA Maintenance to ensure the repairs/maintenance under their purview is completed. The board will determine requests that need to be proposed to the POA.

BYLAWS & RULES COMMITTEE

 

Responsibilities:

Ensure the board’s activities are consistent with the club’s Bylaws. Review the Bylaws and Rules as required and make recommendations of any changes or additions as appropriate for Board and membership approval.

SOCIAL & EVENTS COMMITTEE

​

Responsibilities:

Organize social gatherings or events throughout the year. Reserve rooms for events and end of the year banquet.

Recruit volunteers to serve and donate food and refreshments for events. Update kiosk bulletin board for announcements and upcoming event information.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

 

Responsibilities:

Maintain membership roster, contact information and statistics. Initial point of contact for new residents joining the club and ensuring their application information is complete and club dues are paid.

SUNSHINE COMMITTEE

​

Responsibilities:

Send cards and arrange meal schedules if needed for club members who are working through unexpected life challenging situations.

PLAYER SKILLS & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

 

Responsibilities:

Organize clinics/drills/instruction for all levels of play (introductory, beginners, and intermediate). Skills to be covered include: ground strokes, volleys, serves, and court strategy.

TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE

 

Responsibilities:

Set up and run the club tournaments. Format will be presented to the Board for approval each event. Present tournament dates to Board for approval. Secure volunteers as needed.

AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

​

Responsibilities:

Welcome new members to the QC Tennis Club and provide detailed information about how the club functions, to include showing new members around the facilities, helping them understand how to sign up for club activities, playing some initial tennis with them and being their host at their first social event.

Responsibilities:

Support all the organized play day leaders and ensure all organized play days are operating consistently and successfully.
